WORSHIP AND EVENT REVISIONS

We will resume in-house worship on July 5th  at 9am (we will be conducting one service only at the present time).  We will be following the following protocol from CDC: Masks must be worn while in the church, enter through the double red doors and exit through the back door. Hand sanitizer will be available as you enter and exit.  Offering baskets will be located at the exit door.  We will be following social distancing in our pews with every other pew not being used. The balcony will not be accessible at the present time.  If you do not feel comfortable joining us in person, you can still view

the "live stream" sermons Sundays on our church Facebook page and we offer a time for Bible Study at Thursday "online" beginning at noon each week.

UMW Monthly Luncheon

The United Methodist Women meet the the third Tuesday of each month at NOON at the Bridge Way Restaurant in Smyrna.  Come, bring a friend and enjoy great food and fellowship.  All women are invited to attend. Due to COVID-19, we are hoping to resume our luncheon schedule within the next few months.  Stay tuned for our next meeting date.

Men's Monthly Breakfast

Men's Breakfast is held the third Saturday of each month. We meet at 8:00 am at The Bridge Way Restaurant in Smyrna. Discussion  topic this month: "So How Did Jesus Read the Bible". Come and join us for a great morning of food and fellowship. Due to COVID-19, we are hoping to resume our monthly breakfast within the next few months.  Stay tuned for the next meeting date.

Community/Potluck Dinner

The first Wednesday of each quarter we hold a potluck dinner at the Kenton Ruritan Club with gathering time at 6:00pm and dinner being served at 6:30pm. Bring a covered dish to share if you wish.  Each month we feature a different type of entertainment.  We will be resuming our dinners in the near future and new dates and times will be published when available.

Church Food Pantry

UPDATE AS OF APRIL 8, 2020:  Due to the COVID-19 virus, our pantry has determined for the safety of our patrons and our church volunteers that the pantry WILL NOT be open until further notice.  We will reevaluate periodically as we receive and review the statistics within the states during this COVID-19 pandemic.  Kenton United Methodist Church has opened a food pantry to serve our local Kenton community as an outreach mission for the church. If you would like to donate any non-perishable items to help stock the pantry it would be greatly appreciated. Drop off times will be on Sunday prior to  worship service at 9am on Sunday or on  Wednesday from 7am until 1pm and Thursday from 7am until 3pm.  Please ring the bell at  the back entrance to the church. Please Note: NO EXPIRED FOOD or MEDICATIONS PLEASE. Thanks for your help to reach out to others in our own community. FOR KENTON RESIDENTS ONLY : Hours of operation : We are open the SECOND and FOURTH THURSDAY of each month from  NOON until 2pm.   UPDATE ON MARCH 12, 2020:  We will be updating our current files and the following will need to be brought on the date you visit the pantry:ONE of the following for each member of the HOUSEHOLD: TANF, SNAP, SSI (Reward Letter), WIC or MEDICAID card(s).  A current ID and proof of current address for EACH ADULT within the HOUSEHOLD.

Join us on Thursday evenings at 6pm for an exciting new year for our Youth Group.  Come and bring a friend or two to enjoy an evening of fellowship. Youth Group is currently not meeting in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Stay tuned for future meeting dates and times.






Adult Bible Study

Join us each Sunday Morning at 9:00 am in the sanctuary as we follow the weekly lectionary series . A great time for discussion, worship and fellowship over the WORD.

Morning Bible Study

We invite you to join us through ZOOM or on our Facebook Page each Thursday at NOON due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are currently studying "The Old Testament".  Books are available through the church office.



Good Samaritan 5K Walk/Run

Due to the current COVID-19 situation we have CANCELLED our 2nd annual 5K Walk/Run for this September.  Look forward to rescheduling for May 2021.  Stay tuned for further details.
